Privacy Policy
The short version: this site sets no cookies, and it does not track you, profile you or sell anything about you. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for. What follows is the long version, and it describes what the site actually does rather than what a template says.

Cookies
This site sets no cookies. It also stores nothing in your browser - no local storage, no session storage, nothing that persists after you close the tab. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything.
What we collect about you
Nothing you type is kept, and there is no analytics profile of you. Specifically, the site holds no name, no email address, no account and no browsing history, because it never asks for any of them.
The costume generator
When you describe yourself in the box and press the button, that text - up to 300 characters - is sent to Anthropic, the company that provides the AI model, so it can write ideas back to you. It is not written to any log, and it is not saved anywhere on this site. Once your ideas have been written, that text is gone from our side.
Anthropic handles that text under its own terms. Do not type anything into the box that you would not want to leave your computer - it is a costume prompt, and it does not need your real name.
Your IP address
The generator is free and has no login, so it is limited to a small number of requests per visitor to stop it being used at scale by scripts. To count your requests, your IP address is held briefly by Cloudflare, our host, as part of a counter. It is deleted automatically after ten minutes and is never linked to anything else about you.
Analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views. It sets no cookies and does not fingerprint your browser or follow you to other sites. It tells us that a page was viewed, not who viewed it.
Our host
The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare records the requests it serves - including IP addresses - in its own logs, to keep the service running and to protect it from attack. That processing is Cloudflare's own and is covered by Cloudflare's privacy policy.
When you leave for a shop
Every costume on this site links out to a retailer such as HalloweenCostumes.com, Spirit Halloween, Target, Amazon or Etsy. Once you click through you are on their website, under their privacy policy and their cookies, not ours. Some of those links are affiliate links - see the affiliate disclosure - which means the retailer may record that the visit came from this site.
Children
This site is not aimed at children and asks for no personal information from anyone, so there is nothing here for a child to hand over.
Your rights and how to reach us
Because the site holds no personal information about you beyond a ten-minute request counter, there is generally nothing to request, correct or delete. If you have a question about any of this, write to [email protected] and a person will reply.

If the site starts doing something this page does not describe, this page changes first. The date at the top is the last time it was updated.
